Our PD testing is the leading indicator of the condition of the insulation material in high-voltage machinery. Partial discharges (PD) are small localised breakdowns in the dielectric insulation, which cause degradation and form small electrical ‘trees’ that grow until they migrate across the conductors and cause short circuiting.

Our experience and state-of-the-art equipment enables us to quickly detect PD phenomena, which can help to uncover potentially costly and unnecessary consumption of service life or, in the worst case, failure.

Our Baker tests are suited to document an insulation failure, a winding short circuit or winding fault in high-voltage and low-voltage machinery.

We will give you a strong indication of where on the service life curve your machinery resides. That will give you a unique opportunity to make adjustments if the technical service life of the windings is being unnecessarily consumed by the machinery.
